This is the Holy Grail of recent Future projects, because it’s basically everything we’ve ever asked of Future. Mean, angry, blistering trap bangers. Future is one of, if not the best, rapper alive and this little mixtape should be celebrated as his latest triumph, not as a throwaway mixtape.

This album will definitely age well, though probably in a different way, as evidence of both Metro and Future’s more experimental and off of the straight and narrow style music. It’s got a much softer, pop-esque record, with very different production and songwriting from the first

They’ve made a lot of classics before and it’s been a while since we got a heavy dose of Future/Metro. So naturally my expectations were high.

Godzilla X Kong: A New Empire is almost here, and I can’t wait to see it. The Monsterverse has always been a guilty pleasure of mine, mostly because big monsters destroying things rules. I’m not sure I need to explain myself further.

The Rick Ross Sweet Chili Lemon Pepper is a gem amongst potato chips. It may not be the most technically perfect Rap Snack or the most appealing Rap Snack, but of the chips, it’s easily the most intriguing.

This film is a great example of smart, nuanced horror in every department from the writing to the shots to the pacing. This movie will frighten you and has some good scares, but they never feel cheap or forced. It’s held together by dark, but tight and brilliant writing as opposed to simple jump scares and gags.

This is a 2020s Roger Waters movie. There’s just a lot going on here and for the most part, I thought it was great.

A little late, as always, but believe me when I say I’ve been playing a lot of Helldivers 2 recently. And this is more than just hype. This game is good. Really good. It’s the online co-op game we’ve needed for a long time.

Rap Snacks are like the occupants of the Animal Farm. Some Rap Snacks are good, but some are gooder than others. This one is gooder than others.

Barbie was one of the best movies I have seen recently, at any level. It’s such a brilliantly shot, acted and designed movie that sometimes you forget the foundation it stands on is this perfectly written, perfectly structured script. It artfully moves you from Act to Act smoothly, and there’s never really a sense of a loss of pace. There could be an argument made that the occasional singing and dancing scenes could take you out of the movie, but because this movie is Barbie, I would argue it absolutely doesn’t.

Rap and rock have traditionally been opposed. Both genres and their conventions have lent themselves to elements of rawness, but together, there is a bitter harmony that I believe will be the defining sound of the 2020s before the decade is up. Enter Paris Texas, an alternative hip hop group comprised of rapper-producers Loiue Pastel and Felix.

he Oxbow Incident might seem like a small film. But its emotional impact is devastating. This is a classic Western, but it really is underrated as a classic film. Very few movies have told a story this chilling as simply and succinctly.

I know nothing about this artist. He also doesn’t seem like a real person. The beats and bars are repetitive, clawing melodies out of jarring rythyms that don’t work the first 5 times you hear them. Then, somehow, after xaviersobased says it for the 6th time, it sort of works

The Finals! A hot new freemium/Battle Pass game from Embark Studios, makers of…..(looks it up)….ARC Raiders and wim (literally what it’s called). Never heard of them. However, I’ve heard of The Finals. I’ve been watching it on Twitch since it was in pre-release.

If Lego Fortnite was a finished game being sold in stores, you’d think it’s fun, but a little underwhelming. But as a free live-service game in it’s first update cycle, it shows a tremendous amount of potential.
