Astro-Bot: Stellar Speedway Takes Fast to Another Level
If you enjoyed the base game and want more Astro Bot, Stellar Speedway does the job, whether you approve of the method or not.
Astro Bot-Review
What impressed me most about Astro Bot was how it recreated the magic of older classic platformers while also carving out it’s own unique identity. It may at times remind of you of Super Mario Galaxy or Little Big Planet, but at no point does it feel like an imitation.
Alien Romulus-Review: Return of The Black Goo
Alien Romulus takes everything you love about the Alien franchise…and then smashes it on top of everything you think is simply okay with the Alien franchise. But it’s a fun movie.
Pedro Paramo- Film Review
Pedro Paramo, the adaptation of the classic Mexican book, is a gorgeous film that simply can’t reach it’s lofty ambitions.
House of Leaves- Review- The Great American Novel?
It’s completely unintuitive, it’s laden with footnotes, sidetracked narratives, unreliable narration, random and seemingly pointless diatribes on things like the Minotaur, architecture, echoes and photojournalism. Yet, it’s one of the most compelling books I’ve ever read and after a while becomes almost addictive.
Howdy THC Sweet Tea Review: It’s Pretty Solid
It’s Weed Tea and it’s actually quite good at it’s job.
DOOM (1994) is Still One of The Best Shooters of All Time
In the beginning there was DOOM and the beginning was DOOM and from DOOM came the first person shooter. So it was written.
Darkwood Is A Horror Love Letter To Futility
Darkwood has a reputation as “a horror game with no jumpscares”, which is truly impressive considering how MOST horror games rely almost exclusively on jumpscares. But the question would then be “How is it scary?” Well, it’s scary because of literally everything.
Monarch: Legacy of Monsters Review
Monarch: Legacy of Monsters is not the most action packed Monsterverse entry, but it’s probably the most interesting overall. Hell, it’s easily the best written and does a great job of intertwining with the films in the franchise.
Fortnite Chapter 6, Season 1: Hunters First Impressions
This new Fortnite season is my favorite in quite a few months, probably since C5,S3: Wrecked. The gameplay and ideas presented here bring an overhaul to a lot of the mechanics and systems we know and love. The theme is cohesive and smartly constructed, remaining broad and relatively open ended while also having a clear vision and focus.
Fortnite OG Is Back Forever
Even if it seemed like a novelty at first, way back when it started in November 2023 (my God that feels like a decade ago), Fortnite OG felt like a bit of a Pandora’s Box for the game. People genuinely do miss the OG Fortnite era. It was a simpler time for that generation. There was no going back.
Little Nightmares 2 Is More Crushing Sadness
The original Little Nightmares game had me feeling like I needed a hug afterwards. This one has me needing therapy. So it goes, but damn does it go. What the first Little Nightmares did for greed, this game does for emotional manipulation and abuse. Playing this game was easy but finishing it was brutal.
Kendrick Lamar GNX: Album Review
GNX finds Kendrick in a new, refreshed place. He’s tougher now, angrier even. He’s seeing outwards now, while also maintaining that inner view of himself. He’s asking questions, he’s finding his answers and he’s really looking at things from the perspective of like a demi-god. He’s the greatest rapper of the century (but Kanye was still better at beats.) Kendrick has nothing left to prove and now he’s simply grave dancing.
LEGO Fortnite: Dark Space Is The Lego Horror Map I Had No Idea I Needed
LEGO Dark Space is intriguing from top to bottom, from it’s design choices, tone and overall concept. It’s a first person Lego puzzle horror game. It has a plot of sorts, it’s got a fun and diverse set of puzzles and it’s also legitimately creepy and scary. I was very surprised by what they were able to do with the LEGO style here.
Fortnite Chapter 2 Remix: My Thoughts and Impressions
So the new thing Fortnite seems to want do now is have a sort of “reboot/remake” and now “remix” of a classic season from the days of yore. This type we’re hitting Chapter 2 and an iconic map that I have never played before.
Little Nightmares: Secrets of the Maw DLC Review
When you have a great game, sometimes you just need to make more of it. So Tarsier games did.
Dredge: The Iron Rig-Review
Dredge’s second DLC has Lovecraftian horror meeting corporate mismanagement at an absurd scale.
Dredge: The Pale Reach- DLC Review
he Pale Reach is a great addition to Dredge is exactly what you want from a DLC. It expands the base game, adds some new content that fits right in and has an engrossing standalone story. It’s well crafted and self contained in a way that great DLC usually is.
