Rap Snacks Review: Nicki Minaj Nocho Nachos

Yes this picture is absurdly large. I just don’t really care.

We all have good days and bad days. Today, I am terribly depressed. So my tastebuds may not be working. Oh well. We’re eating this chip today. I can’t put it off any longer. So let’s get started.

So far, my experience with the Nocho Nachos is that they’re overall an inferior product to the traditional Rap Snack. The flavors are, as always, excellent. But the actual tortilla chip…well it sucks. It’s kind of bitter and overly corny. It’s uncomfortable to eat for more than 6 seconds. After that the flavor disperses itself and you’re left chewing a starchy, bitter piece of corn tortilla chip..

This chip…it’s flavors are blended well. They’re strong and distinct. They have a nice charm. But I’ll be damned if this tortilla chip isn’t awful. It tastes like someone is spitting corn meal in my mouth and I’m just choking it down. It could be good, but they’re just not. They are a cheap chip in expensive powder. The sour cream, ranch and nacho cheese flavorings have a sweetness and delicacy that is promptly overpowered by the cornmeal flavor. This is a bad, bad, bad corn chip. Like, this is the opposite of comfort food- I’m spiraling after eating that. I couldn’t even finish the bag.

If you see one of these on the shelves, forget about that store. It makes me sad to think that, despite a long and solid run, Rap Snacks has finally, like everything else in my life, found a way to profoundly disappoint me.

Several years ago, someone I knew was peddling ivermectin out of their vehicle as a cure to Covid and an alternative to the vaccine. I wish I had taken some- so I wouldn’t have lived to eat this tortilla chip.
